At Sudbury House Care and Development Centre we are very lucky to be associated
with Sudbury Community House as this gives the children the opportunity to connect with the community.
 

The Inventors room decided that it might be nice to make the craft ladies who meet
every Wednesday at Sudbury House some yummy Anzac biscuits for their morning tea.
The children had a lovely numeracy lesson measuring out all the ingredients,learning how much a ½ cup
and a full cup were, pouring in the milk, weighing out the butter and of course counting the biscuits.
 

When the biscuits had finished baking we took them out of the oven and the smell was delicious 
The children were excited to show off they cooking skills and share their biscuits with the craft ladies.
As you can see by the photos the craft ladies gave the children a huge tick of approval.
As an Educator it was wonderful to see the two generations coming together
and interacting with each other in such a caring way.

and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active communication
